The Packing Dilemma

Packing for any journey is a pain in the ass.Packing for journey lasting 5 months taking me through Winter , spring and summer is brain wrecking.Although travelling light is one of my top priorities this trip , somehow the luggage only became heavier .

Unlike the exchange program to Moscow in 2009 , this time i'm going to Petrozavodsk with tons of singapore food premixes ,green beans, red beans and barley seeds and of course Kaya.I am fairly optimistic about the host family that I will be staying with, and I hope they will be curious to try a different crusine and desserts!

Travelling Light also means that I am bringing only summer clothes and completely relying on a sturdy down coat and a sweater to protect me from the cold for the 2 months in Petrozavodsk.(27 Feb Petrozavodsk Temperature = -8degrees)Let's pray for warmer weather!

I was repacking my thoughts at night after an enlightening conversation with Sunny, the SMU exchange student to Moscow last semester. We had many similar opinions of many issues and it was great to speak to someone who was on the same wavelength and very unique in a special way.Had an amazing time!

The deja vu feeling as I become overwhelmed by the sheer amount of things that have to be done before the date of departure.
The same routine of packing ,taking everything out ,putting them back, wild imagination and procrastination.

I'm excited .
Yet, as it inched closer towards Monday , my attachment to Singapore and my family grows.
